Purpose:
IGF-1 LR3 is a hormone with a molecular weight of 7.6kD, and its molecular structure is similar to that of insulin. The main mechanism of action is to induce intracellular signal transduction by binding to its specific receptor (IGF1R). IGF-1 LR3 is one of the most effective activators of the AKT signaling pathway. After activating the AKT signaling pathway, it stimulates cell growth and proliferation and inhibits cell apoptosis. IGF-1 LR3 adds 13 amino acids to the N-terminal of the complete IGF-1 molecule to form a long-chain IGF-1 with 83 amino acids, and replaces the third amino acid glutamic acid (E) of the IGF-1 molecule with arginine (R), so it is called R3. Compared with unmodified IGF-1, IGF-1 LR3 has higher stability and biological activity.
