Estradiol benzoate is an organic compound with the chemical formula C₂₅H₂₈O₃. It is an estrogenic drug with the same effects as estradiol. It can cause the endometrium to proliferate, enhance the contraction of uterine smooth muscles, promote the development and proliferation of the mammary glands. In large doses, it inhibits the release of prolactin, counteracts the effects of androgens, and increases the deposition of calcium in the bones.
