  The appearance of chromium picolinate is purplish red crystalline fine powder, good fluidity, stable chemical properties at room temperature, slightly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, in which chromium is trivalent chromium. The whole molecular structure is electrically neutral and has hydrophobic properties, so it can be absorbed across the membrane in a complete structure, and the molecular structure is similar to that of the GTF part. Its structure is a complex of nicotinic-chromium-nicotinic acid and aspartate, glutamic acid, glycine and cysteine. The GTF-like structure of chromium picolinate determines its better absorption rate and can play its biological function more effectively. It has been reported that the absorption rate of common chromium preparations is about 0.5%, while the absorption rate of chromium picolinate is 2%-5%
