Cefmetazole sodium is the second generation cephalosporin. It is a semi synthetic cephalosporin antibiotic. It has a wide range of anti gram-negative, positive and anaerobic bacteria. Cefmetazole sodium on β- Lactamase is highly resistant to β- Lactamase producing bacteria also have the same characteristics as non producing bacteria β- Lactamase sensitive bacteria have strong antibacterial activity. The effect of cefazolin sodium and Cefmetazole sodium for injection on the prevention of surgical site infection and medical cost of rectal cancer showed that the total clinical effective rates of cefazolin sodium group and Cefmetazole sodium group were 93.48% and 95.65% respectively. Cefmetazole sodium was highly sensitive to Klebsiella pneumoniae and ESBLs producing Escherichia coli, and the drug resistance rate was significantly lower than that of the second, third and fourth generation cephalosporins.
Application
Cefmetazole sodium is a semi synthetic cephalosporin derivative, and its antibacterial properties are similar to those of the second generation cephalosporins. indication
It is used to treat the following infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, pneumoniae, proteus, morganobacter, Providence, digestive Streptococcus, Bacteroidetes and Prevotella (except double Prevotella) sensitive to Cefmetazole sodium:
1. Sepsis;
2. Secondary infection of acute bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess, empyema and chronic respiratory diseases;
3. Cystitis, pyelonephritis;
4. Peritonitis;
5. Cholecystitis and cholangitis;
6. Vestibular adenitis, intrauterine infection, adnexitis of uterus and periuterine tissue inflammation;
7. Cellulitis and mastitis around the jaw.
