Cefditoren Pivoxil is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, known for its broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed to its active form, cefditoren, in the body, making it effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.  

**Function:**  

Cefditoren Pivoxil works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of susceptible microorganisms.
