Application

This product is a aminoglycoside broad-spectrum antibiotic, similar to neomycin in antibacterial spectrum. It is mainly used for serious infections caused by gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteobacteria, pneumoniae, Enterobacter pneumoniae and Shigella, etc. It also has good antibacterial effect on drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Clinically, it is mainly used for pulmonary infection, urinary tract infection, biliary sepsis and abdominal infection caused by sensitive bacteria, which are often combined with other antibacterial drugs. It can also be used for staphylococcus aureus infection which is sensitive to resistance to other antibiotics. For the treatment of tuberculosis, this product can be used as a second-line drug.

Principle:

This product mainly combines with bacterial ribosome for 30S subunit to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of drug-resistant strains, which have lost their antibacterial activity due to the production of aminoglycoside passivase by some bacteria. Kanamycin had complete cross-resistance with streptomycin and neomycin, and partial cross-resistance with other aminoglycosides.
