CFS-779 Methyldimethoxysilane
CFS-779, Methyldimethoxysilane is an alkyl & alkoxy silane containing hydrogen in its molecule.
It is mainly used as an important intermediate for the synthesis of functional silanes and other
organosilicon compounds. It is the counterpart of Dow Corning Z-6701.
Typical Properties:
Chemical Name:Methyldimethoxysilane; Dimethoxymethylsilane
Cas No.:16881-77-9
Formula:C3H10O2Si
Color:Colorless
Appearance:Clear liquid
Purity:min 98%
Applications:
CFS-779 is normally used as a raw material for the synthesis of other functional silanes. Its
molecule contains a hydrolyzable dimethoxy group and an active hydrogen bond. Under
hydrosilylation in the presence of Pt catalyst, different functional groups can be introduced to
obtain various silane coupling agents.
CFS-779 has a suitable hydrolysis speed and can achieve deep curing. It can be used as an
excellent terminating agent of polyether. Silane terminated polyether resins can be obtained
with CFS-779 as the terminating agent. These silane-terminated polyether polymers are the
basic materials of silane modified sealants and adhesives.
CFS-779 can be used to produce high specific surface vitreous silica gel under acidic conditions.
Packaging:
CFS-779 is offered in 50L special steel pails and 200L special steel drums.
Please contact Co-Formula team for any other special packaging request.
Storage:
CFS-779 should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, and avoid exposure to humidity.
CFS-779 should be stored in its original containers and used up asap after opening.
When stored in a strictly sealed and unopened container, CFS-779 has a shelf life of 12months.
