Ethyl cellulose (EC)

Ethyl Cellulose (EC) is one kind of in-water-soluble celulose ether but soluble in organic solvents from natrual cellulose through a series of chemical reactions. It belongs to non-ionic cellulose ether. It is white to slightly yellow powder or granue.

Characteristic of EC

*Insoluble in water
*Low hygroscopicity, low residue, good electrical properties
*Nice stability to light, heat, oxygen, and wet, and it is inflammable
*Soluble in alcohol, ether, ketone, ester, aromatics, halogenated hydrocarbons and other organic solvents
*Good thickening and film forming property
