IGF-1LR3 is a hormone with a molecular weight of 7.6kD, and its molecular structure is similar to that of insulin. The main mechanism of action is to induce intracellular signaling by binding to its specific receptor (IGF1R). IGF-1LR3 is one of the most effective activators of the AKT signaling pathway. After activating the AKT signaling pathway, it stimulates cell growth and proliferation, and inhibits cell apoptosis. IGF-1LR3 adds 13 amino acids to the N-terminus of the complete IGF-1 molecule to form a long chain of 83 amino acids, and converts the third amino acid glutamic acid (E) of the IGF-1 molecule to arginine (R) is substituted, so it is called R3. Compared with unmodified IGF-1, IGF-1LR3 has higher stability and biological activity.
