1.  Stearyl alcohol can be used instead of cetyl alcohol, such as cream and emulsifier in cosmetics, and also used as heat preservation agent for rice field, reservoir covering agent, defoamer, polishing agent, Lubricants, etc.  
2.Stearyl alcohol widely used in  polyamide, polyester, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, ABS resin to expand various rubber petroleum products.

3.  Used as a chromatographic reagent. It is also used as a surfactant and lubricant. Used in
organic synthesis.
