Furosemide usage and dosage:
A. Oral administration: One dose, 2 mg per kilogram of body weight for pigs, sheep, cattle, and horses,
2.5~5 mg for dogs and 2.5 mg for cats twice a day.
B. Intravenous or intramuscular injection: one dose per kilogram of body weight.
0.5-1 mg for pigs, sheep, cattle, horses, 0.5-1 mg for dogs and cats, once a day or every other day,
In severe cases, once every 6 to 12 hours, intravenous injection should be diluted.
Matters needing attention: long-term, large-scale medication. There may be hypokalemia, hypochlorite and dehydration,
Potassium salts or potassium-sparing diuretics should be supplemented for compatibility.
