N-hydroxysuccinimide, NHS, is an organic compound with the formula C4H5NO3, which is slightly acidic and irritating to skin, eyes, and mucosa.
Production method:
1. Heat 100g(1.0mol) succinic anhydride and 70g(1.0mol) hydroxylamine hydrochloride together to make the reaction system maintain negative pressure to remove the volatiles generated, rapidly heat to above 125 ° C, and slowly rise to 160 ° C after 1h.Stop heating.
