1-Hydroxybenzotriazole hydrate NEW

Hydroxybenzotriazole (HOBt), white crystal, 1n-hydroxyl substituted derivative of benzotriazole. It is commonly used as a racemization inhibitor in peptide synthesis. Due to the high activity of DCC, the chiral center of the substrate can not be well preserved in the product. Generally, additives such as hydroxyl benzotriazole are added to reduce the activity of activated esters, thereby inhibiting racemization. See Peptide Synthesis for details. Hydroxybenzotriazole is usually sold as monohydrate crystals (~11.7% water by weight). Anhydrous hydroxyl benzotriazole is explosive, should be careful when using.
