| Uses | This compound was used as a reagent for investigating the hydrolytic stability of poly((2-dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) and comparing with the stability of its monomer. The result has been ascribed to a coordination of the protonated dimethylamino group and the ester carbonyl, rendering the ester more susceptible to nucleophilic attack of a hydroxyl ion. |
| Uses | 2-(Dimethylamino)ethyl acrylate (AmAc) are aminoacrylates. AmAc was used to fabricate gold/acrylic polymer nanocomposites.1 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl acrylate (DAEA) can undergo copolymerization with 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulphonic acid (AMPS). |
