3-(N-Boc-Amino)benzotrifluoride is a reactant used in the preparation of transthyretin amyloidosis inhibitors containing carborane pharmacophores. It is also used in the design and synthesis of peripherally restricted transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) antagonists.
