Neodymium carbonate dihydrate can be used to prepare neodymium oxide (Nd₂O₃). Neodymium oxide (Nd₂O₃) is an important rare earth oxide product. In the past decade or so, neodymium oxide has achieved good applications in rare earth permanent magnets, lasers, glass, ceramics, and superconductors, with increasing demand in domestic and international markets and broad development prospects.
