1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, mixed decyl and hexyl and octyl diesters

It is a colorless liquid at ambient temperature with a boiling point of 250°C. It has a vapor pressure of 0.3 mmHg at 25°C. C610P is essentially insoluble in water, but it is soluble in organic solvents.

Its major use is as a plasticizer for vinyl resins.

C610P is manufactured by the reaction of phthalic anhydride with n-hexanol, n-octanol, and n-decanol in the presence of an acid catalyst.
