BISMUTH SULPHATE is produced by dissolving bismuth oxide in hot, concentrated sulphuric acid, or by dissolving it in nitric acid, adding sulphuric acid and then concentrating the solution.

The esterification of thujopsene with bismuth(III) sulfate in carboxylic acids yeilds esters in 30%. Bismuth(III) sulfateis used as analytics reagents and medicine, it is also used in pharmaceutical industry. It is used to determine other metal sulphate salts.
