LEYBOLD VACUUM PUMP OIL is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained as the raffinate from a solvent extraction process. It consists predominantly of saturated hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C20 through C50 and produces a finish oil with a viscosity of at least 100 SUS at 100.degree.F (19cSt at 40.degree.C).
Flammability and Explosibility
Non flammable
Questioiiable
carcinogen. When heated to decomposition
it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes.
The ITSL for solvent-refined heavy paraffinic distillates is 50 μg/m3 with an 8 hour averaging time.
