There are no reports on the experimental preparation
of radium nitrite. It could be prepared by the aqueous
reaction between sodium nitrite and radium chloride:
RaCl2 + 2NaNO2 ? Ra(NO2)2 + 2NaCl
However, this preparation has likely never been
attempted since the industrial demand for this salt is
zero. The question of a hydrate and how it is obtained
remain unknown. It has no CAS number and is not
available commercially or otherwise.
