2-Methyl-1H-indol-6-amine is used in the synthesis of aza-podophyllotoxin derivatives, with some compounds exhibiting stronger growth inhibition activity in cancer cell lines (Zr-75-1, MCF7, KB, Gurav, DWD, Colo-205, A-549 and Hop62).
