Ono EI-601 is the main metabolite of the human neutrophil elastase inhibitor ONO-5046. In plasma and urine by direct injection column-switching HPLC proved to be useful for pharmacokinetic, toxicological and clinical studies.

ONO-EI-601 is the major metabolite of human neutrophil elastase inhibitor ONO-5046. ONO-5046 has the potential for the study of acute lung injury/acute respiratory distress syndrome or disseminated intravascular coagulation in COVID-19[1].
