Polytrimethylene terephthalate resins (PTT resin) are an aromatic polyester formed by the polycondensation of terephthalic acid (PTA) and 1,3-propanediol (PDO). It is characterised by good flexibility, resilience, abrasion resistance, and ease of dyeing and cleaning. Its properties lie between those of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), combining the excellent performance of PET with the processing characteristics of PBT in a well-balanced manner [1]. PTT resin is primarily used in textiles and clothing, automotive interiors, home textiles (such as carpets and curtains), as well as films and packaging materials (such as food packaging and industrial films).
