Nicotinamide riboside malate

As a NAD+ precursor, Nicotinamide riboside malate increases NAD+ levels in the body. NAD+ plays an important role in physiological processes such as cellular energy metabolism and DNA repair, and its increased levels help support heart, brain and metabolic function.

Nicotinamide riboside malate, an orally active NAD+ precursor, increases NAD+ levels and activates SIRT1 and SIRT3. Nicotinamide riboside malate is a source of vitamin B3 (niacin) and enhances oxidative metabolism, protection against high fat diet-induced metabolic abnormalities[1]. Nicotinamide riboside malate reduces cognitive deterioration in a transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease[2].

Nicotinamide riboside malate (NRHM) exhibits superior absorption compared to other forms of NR. Pure NR is sensitive to light and moisture and has poor stability, while Nicotinamide riboside malate (NRHM) enhances its stability by binding with maleic acid, making it more readily absorbed by the body. Furthermore, Nicotinamide riboside malate (NRHM) is absorbed faster than crystalline NR.
