Commercial production of the prochloraz-manganese complex mirrors other metal-prochloraz coordination routes: manufacturers start with technical-grade prochloraz, dissolve it in a suitable organic or mixed solvent system, and introduce a soluble manganese(II) source, most often manganese chloride, under controlled pH and temperature. These conditions promote chelation of Mn²⁺ by the imidazole moiety of prochloraz, yielding a stable coordination complex while suppressing hydrolysis or competing ligand exchange. Once the reaction reaches completion, the solid complex is isolated by filtration or crystallisation.
