The validated analytical method was applied for the estimation of Safinamide in aqueous solution and human plasma with Safinamide-D4 as an internal standard by using UPLC-MS/MS.

Safinamide-d4 is a labelled analogue of Safinamide. Safinamide is a potent and selective MAO-B inhibitor, and is used as an add-on treatment to treat Parkinson’s disease.
