1,2,3,6,7,8-HEXACHLORODIBENZO-P-DIOXIN is the type of compound that is extremely stable, even on heating to 1292° F. Solutions of 1,2,3,6,7,8-HEXACHLORODIBENZO-P-DIOXIN may be sensitive to light. Solutions of this type of compound in methanol are degraded by exposure to summer sunlight or irradiation with an ultraviolet lamp (300 nm).
