PALLADIUM ON STRONTIUM CARBONATE, REDUCED

Palladium on barium carbonate (5% Pd/BaCO₃) is a palladium catalyst that can be used in the cross-coupling reaction of arenediazonium salts with boronic acid at low catalytic loading. It can also be used as a catalyst in the diastereoselective hydrogenations of the imine for the synthesis of chiral trifluoromethyl benzylamines.

Pd/Al₂O₃ can be used as a catalyst in the enantioselective hydrogenation reaction. It can also be potentially used in the formation of an automotive catalytic converter to improve the air quality of urban environments.

Evonik Noblyst P1159 5% Pd is a palladium on alumina catalyst. It has been shown to be effective in the following reactions:

• hydrogenation of aromatic nitro groups to hydroxylamines

Palladium on alumina (Pd/Al₂O₃) (1 wt % loading, powder) is a widely utilized catalyst that can be prepared by wet impregnation of alumina pellets with palladium chloride. It can also be prepared by flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) by utilizing the precursor solution of aluminum sec-butoxide and palladium acetylacetonate.
