4-Aminophenyl-1-phenethylpiperidine is a kind of 1-
phenyethylpiperidine derivatives. It is useful as opioid receptor
ligands used for the treatment of pain. Studies have also shown that
some 4-aminopiperidine derivatives have antiprotozoal against
protozoan parasites such as Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense,
Trypanosoma cruzi, Leishmania donovani, and Plasmodium falciparum.
Some of its derivatives can also be used as inter alia analgesics.
