Chlorprocarb is an obsolete carbamate herbicide. It has not been extensively studied and so very little information is available on its environmental fate, ecotoxicity or impacts on human health.
Chlorprocarb is commercially produced by a process that involves preparing the phenolic intermediate, which is then reacted with a chlorinated isocyanate derivative under controlled temperature and solvent conditions to yield the final carbamate ester.
