Cassie flowers are extracted with petroleum ether to yield Cassie concrete, which is a solid waxy mass. The concrete is
further processed to cassie absolute by alcohol extraction. The odor of absolute is extremely warm, powdery-spicy, and at the same
time herbaceous and floral with a deep and tenacious cinnamic–balsamic undertone. Also see Cassie.
Cassie absolute is a dark-yellow or pale-brown liquid, clear at room temperature but separating
waxy flakes at reduced temperatures.
Extractives and their physically modified derivatives. Acacia farnesiana, Leguminosae.
