PTZ-343 is a phenothiazine (PTZ) derivative with chemical name sodium 3-(10H-phenothiazin-10-yl)propane-1-sulfonate. The free acid of PTZ-343 has molecule weight 343. For the convenience of commucation, we call it as PTZ-343. PTZ-343 is a water-soluble enhancer of luminol chemiluminescent peroxidation catalyzed by horseradish peroxidase (HRP). It acts as an electron transfer mediator, reacting with HRP-II to release HRP and a PTZ-343 radical, which oxidizes luminol anions to induce light emission.
Sodium 3-?(10H-?Phenothiazin-?10-?yl)?propane-?1-?sulfonate can be used in biological and analytical studies of a portable chemiluminescence imaging immunoassay for simultaneous detection of different isoforms of prostate specific antigen in serum.
PTZ-343 behaves as electron transfer mediator, it reacts with HRP-II to release HRP and a enhance (PTZ-343) radical. The enhancer (PTZ-343) radical quickly oxidizes luminol anions to induce light emission.
