Polybutenes is a hydrophobic material that is derivatized to make anti-rust additives and detergents. Adds flexibility, water repellency and tack to coatings and adhesives. Contributes 'cling' to LLDPE films. Plasticizer for lubricants, polymers and metal-working fluids.
