Ethylamine is widely used in the chemical industry for the syntheses of diethyldiazene, dimethylolethyltriazone, ethylcyanopyrolidone disperse and 1,3-diethylthiourea. It is also used in the production of mining chemicals and flotation agents such as isopropylethyl thiocarbamates. In polymer industry, it is used as a chain stopper in polyurethane production to control degree of polymerization. It is a precursor used for the preparation of benzilnitrate, detergents, rayon, rocket propellant and alkyl isocyanates, which finds application in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. In rubber industry, it is utilized as a vulcanization accelerator for sulfur cured rubbers.
