ML-60218 is a small molecule inhibitor of RNA polymerase III in both S. cerevisiae and human with IC50 values of 32 and 27 μM, respectively. At 200 μM, it has been shown to inhibit 88, 94, and 90% of the in vitro transcription activity of S. cerevisiae, C. albicans, and human RNA polmerase III, respectively. In combination with HDAC inhibition, ML-60218 at 100 μM has been used to target transcription during exocrine pancreatic epithelial proliferation in a zebrafish model of pancreatic cancer.
