myo-Inositol 1,3,4,6-tetrakis-phosphate ammonium salt is a naturally occurring inositol tetrakisphosphate compound that is described to accumulate in angiotensin II-stimulated cells. myo-Inositol 1,3,4,6-tetrakis-phosphate is demonstrated to stimulate the mobilization of intracellular Ca2+ in SH-SY5Y, and it is suggested that myo-Inositol 1,3,4,6-tetrakis-phosphate may recognize and exhibit its Ca2+-releasing activity through the Inositol(1,4,5)P3 receptor.
