Uses Levofloxacin mesylate is mainly used for mild and moderate infections caused by Gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Such as respiratory system, urinary system, digestive system, skin and soft tissue, as well as infections in stomatology, ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, etc., as well as urethritis and cervicitis caused by gonococcus and chlamydia trachomatis.
Pharmacology Levofloxacin mesylate is the levorotatory form of ofloxacin, and its antibacterial activity is about twice that of ofloxacin. The drug has broad-spectrum antibacterial effect and strong antibacterial effect. Escherichia, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and other gram-negative bacteria G- have strong antibacterial activity. It also has antibacterial effect on gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and Chlamydia pneumoniae.
