  • Manufacturing Process A solution of 1 gram-equivalent of 6-hydroxyflavanone in equivalent of 0.5 N ethanolic NaOH is evaporated, the residue is dissolved in 200 ml of DMF and the solution is heated to 150°C; a solution of g-eguivalent of 1-chloro-1- phenyl-3-dimethylaminopropane in 50 ml of DMF is added, while stirring. The mixture is stirred for 1.5 hours at 150°C and 6-(1-phenyl-3- dimethylaminopropoxy)flavonone is precipitated by adding water.
