Disperse blue 85 is a textile dye of the azo type.

Preparation

2,4-Dinitro-6-chloroaniline?diazo, and N-hydroxyethyl-1-naphthylamine?coupling.

Properties and Applications

red light navy blue. Dark blue powder, insoluble in water. Mainly used for polyester and their blended fabric dyeing, red for the navy, artificial light in a dark red. Suitable for high pressure and high temperature melt method dyeing.
