Uses
Pigment Red 144 has excellent performance and is suitable for the coloring of paints, inks, plastics and rubber products, and can also be used for the coloring of synthetic fiber puree.

Synthesis
Pigment Red 144 can be prepared by coupling 2,5-dichloroaniline diazonium salt with 2,3-acid, acidifying with hydrochloric acid, acyl chloride with thionyl chloride, and then condensing with o-chloro-p-phenylenediamine.
