chain (16:0) palmitic acid inserted at the

2 positions. It is used in the generation of micelles, liposomes, and artificial membranes.
Uses
1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate is a glycerophospholipid used in the characterization of polymer-stabilized liposome system. It is also used in the study of amphotericin B-entrapping lipid nanoparticles and their in vitro and in vivo characteristics.
