Flammable gases are formed by mixing materials in this group with alkali metals. Explosive combination can occur with strong oxidizing agents, metal salts, peroxides, and sulfides.

dark blue light red to dark red light purple. From ethanol to crystallize in the product is golden needle crystal, melting point 185.5 ℃ soluble in ethanol, acetone and toluene. In concentrated sulfuric acid to red light blue, dilution after magenta to red solution, there are red brown precipitation; In concentrated sodium hydroxide solution insoluble.
