Chemical Properties
Red powder. Soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in ethyl acetate. Excellent solubility in various organic solvents, good compatibility with various resins. Stable to acid, alkali, light and heat.
Uses
Solvent Red 8 is used for coloring paints, inks, and natural and synthetic leathers, as well as for coloring aluminum foil and other metals, gemstones, glass, and plastics. It produces a vibrant color.
