Uses

Fumaraldehyde bis(dimethyl acetal) may be used in the syntheses of C₂₀-carotene and crocetin or descrocetin esters. It may be used in the preparation of fumaraldehyde dimethylacetal, (FDMA), by partial acid hydrolysis.

Purification Methods
