Synthesis
Add 10 mL of anhydrous pyridine to 2 g (7.45 mmol) of solid 2',3'-O-Isopropylideneguanosine to form a white suspension.
1 Remove the pyridine under reduced pressure to remove any trapped water;
2 Repeat the previous step;
3 Add 5 mL of acetone to the residue and stir for 30 minutes;
4 Add 50 mL of ether to the mixture and stir for 1 hour;
5 Filter the resulting precipitate and wash it with ether;
6 Dry the product in a vacuum desiccator over P2O5.
