Description

1,2-Distearoyl-d₇₀-sn-glycero-3-PC is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC by GC- or LC-MS. 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC is a phospholipid containing the saturated long-chain (18:0) fatty acid stearic acid inserted at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions. It is commonly used in the generation of micelles, liposomes, and other types of artificial membranes.^1,2

Uses

1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylcholine-d70 is the deuterium labeled 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylcholine. 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylcholine (1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC; DSPC) is a cylindrical-shaped lipid. 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylcholine is used to synthesize liposomes, and is the lipid component in the lipid nanoparticle (LNP) system[1][2].
