Description
Alizarin 1-methyl ether is an anthraquinones isolated from the roots of Morinda officinalis with antiosteoporotic activity. Study shows that 2-Hydroxy-1-methoxyanthraquinone promotes osteoblast proliferation and inhibits osteoclast TRAP activity.
Uses
2-Hydroxy-1-methoxyanthraquinone could be isolated from the stem bark of Morinda lucida Benth. (Rubiaceae) and possesses antibacterial activity[1].
