Biological Activity
Talaromycesone A is a fungal metabolite originally isolated from Talaromyces.1 It is active against S. epidermidis and methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) bacteria (IC50s = 3.70 and 5.48 μM, respectively). Talaromycesone A inhibits acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in a cell-free assay (IC50 = 7.49 μM for the human enzyme).
