Colorless or light yellow feathery crystals. Insoluble in water. Low hygroscopicity, stable at room temperature, and hydrolysis occurs when heated to 50°C.
Uses
Tetrazene explosive is a priming powder with weak priming force.
Synthesis
Tetrazene explosive was prepared by a soluble aminoguanidine nitrate solution(pH 5-6) diazotized with sodium nitrite.
