Uses
4-Azidoaniline hydrochloride is suitable for use in the preparation of photo-reactive polymers, poly(acrylic acid) having encorporated phenylazido groups. It may be used in the preparation of 1-(4-aminophenyl)-1
H-[1,2,3]-triazol-4-ylcarbonyl-Phe-Gly-Phe-Gly-OH. It is suitable for use in the synthesis of photo-reactive polysaccharides.
Purification Methods
Purify it in EtOAc with dry HCl gas followed by cold dry Et2O. The free base has m 66o(dec) (MeOH) and the picrate has m 64-65o(dec) (MeOH). The IR has max (Nujol) at 2110cm-1 (N3). [Escher et al.
